For this edition of #throwbackthursday, I’m going back to 2018 with a look at the first wave of FSS 7 (Figure Subscription Service) from the G.I.Joe Collectors’ Club! Continue reading for a look at the Cobra Ice-Viper Officer –

The Cobra Ice-Viper Officer is a homage to the Ice Viper that was originally included with set #4 from the Operation: M.O.T.H. set. He’s a straight repaint of the 50th Anniversary Cobra Ice Viper, in all white with gray camo, with a blue Bandoleer and Balaclava.

As far as accessories go, he includes a pair of trademark sai, Helmet, Goggles (yellow lens), Snow Shoes, Phone and Figure Stand.

As you can see from my sample, there’s a bit of QC concerns in terms of paint apps. My sample has blue paint on his fur and a bit of mess on his shoulder pouches. As many have noted around the ‘net, not only is the Ice-Viper Officer’s belt upside down, but the “buckle” was painted on the wrong side. His Sigil is also a bit “blurry”. Hrm.

Paint nitpicks aside, the Ice Viper Officer is a solid offering. I know many aren’t fond of repaints, but I personally loved this figure when he was originally released, so seeing him in Modern Era form is a real treat.

I’ve included a gallery of 40 images for you to check out below. All in all, I’d recommend the Ice-Viper Officer as he’ll make an awesome addition to your Cobra Arctic Legion!
