Incoming! The G.I. JOE Mission Critical team has shared an update via their Kickstarter campaign for week 2, with a breakdown on setting up crossover games and scenarios!
That’s of course not all, as the team also gives us our character reveals for this week, where we get to check out Stalker, the Cobra Trooper and the Cobra Crimson Guard! Check it out –
Welcome to the second week of our campaign! We hope you had a great weekend.
Today, in addition to sneak peeks at a few characters in the game, we want to tell you about scenarios!
Setting the scene: Narrative-Driven Scenarios
If you’re a fan of Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid, then you’ve likely already seen the free narrative-driven scenarios that we release monthly. These scenarios provide players with new and interesting ways to experience the game, from set-up to win conditions.
Because Mission Critical is part of the Guardian System – the same game engine behind Heroes of the Grid – these scenarios can be used for both games! And while we don’t have any G.I. JOE scenarios yet, fear not! We are just getting started and can’t wait to start creating content to support this game in the same way that we have supported Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid!
Using the Cross-Over rules that begin on page 19 in the Rulebook, you can mix Heroes of the Grid and Mission Critical. The Cross-Over Rules will also aid you in using any of the existing scenarios for Mission Critical. In fact, one scenario you may be particularly interested in is a Solo Mode Scenario!
Today’s Intelligence Files: Stalker, Cobra Troopers & Crimson Guard
True to the character, Stalker’s ability and Pulverizer card allow him to adapt to any situation, putting damage where it’s needed most. As one of the Joe team’s top NCOs, Stalker excels at helping his soldiers use their resources most effectively. With Squad Tactics you’ll gain an energy and then allow another Joe to come in with a powerful and timely attack!
Look out Joes! It isn’t just the big bad named enemies that you’ll have to look out for, because sinister Cobra Troopers and the highly trained Crimson Guard are bound to be a thorn in the side of good! Cobra Troopers can call on HISS Tanks to deal mass damage to the Joe team, or if allowed to congregate can launch a powerful assault with their Cobra Charge! The Crimson Guard on the other hand has plenty of ways to trip up Joe plans, using control effects like forcing card discards, and even skipping a Joe turn!
Thank you all for your support! We would love for your to help us recruit new backers to the team by sharing the link to this campaign on your social media!
We will be back on Wednesday. In the meantime, tell us about your favorite Stalker moments in the comments!
