G.I.Joe Fan First Tuesday Livestream Recap

Today was the G.I.Joe Fan First Tuesday Livestream event and it was a day centered around G.I.Joe Classified. So, as Emily would say, without further adieu, let’s dig right in!

Here’s the full livestream for those that may have missed out, or for those that want to relive the adventure.

First up, fans were treated to digital mock ups of upcoming products. Kicking things off was…you guessed it, Snake Eyes:

The inspiration for this figure was noted to come from his Resolute/Renegades version(s). Timber’s coloring is a closer match to his 1985 namesake.

Next up, the leader of the Dreadnoks sees another release, this time in Retro form. Check out Zartan!

This Walmart exclusive will be released on “Retro” style packaging and features a new(ish) paint deco that match his original release.

Another figure seeing a Retro style released is the Cobra Ninja, Storm Shadow:

As with Zartan, Storm Shadow will be released on a retro style card and will be exclusive to Walmart (well, this version will. There’s still the version that’s on pre-order with a late 2022 delivery date for most of us.)

Another digital render shown of an upcoming exclusive takes us to Target, where we get to check out the upcoming Target Exclusive Tiger Force Duke and the Tiger R.A.M. cycle. Check it out –

Duke is a faithful recreation of his vintage counterpart; The RAM, although cool, looks a bit iffy with that mouth graphic placement. I’m sure it’ll look much better in hand. As noted above, this set will be exclusive to Target.

Wrapping up our look at upcoming Digi-Mockups is a troop builder set that came as a surprise to many. Check out the Cobra Blue Ninja Troop Builder 2 Pack –

The repainted red Ninja looks great and although the female is a repaint of Akiko, could this be our first foreshadowed look at an upcoming Jinx? I hope so!

That’s right! The G.I.Joe Drill Instructor, Sgt. Slaughter, has been called back to active duty by the G.I.Joe Command! Many thanks to Sgt. Slaughter’s Slaughterhouse for the video. Now, check out the Sarge in all his digital glory –

I love that this “original” look for the Sarge is different enough from Valaverse’s Action Force offerings that you can collect all 3 and not have them look like carbon copies of one another.

All digital mock up figures shown will be up for pre-order at a later date. One would assume in June, to coincide with #YoJoeJune.
