Black Major Toys 2021 Python Crimson Guard Pictorial Review

What better way to close out the year than with one final Black Major figure review?

From Black Major‘s 2021 Crimson Guard assortment comes a Magnus Toys exclusive that is a must have for any Cobra Collection – The Python Patrol Crimson Guard!

When it was announced that Black Major would be revisiting his Siegies, the fandom was excited to say the least. When reveals begun to happen, I knew that this particular variation is one that I needed to add to my collection.

At first glance, one can see that this CG matches his 1989 counterpart pretty closely. The Python Crimson Guard’s uniform here is much brighter, with a richer yellow & green used in his uniform. He also has that distinct python striping on his pants, along with a cobra logo on his helmet. Alongside other subtle paint touches, it’s easy to distinguish the two apart.

Now, let’s talk QC – Outside of a loose left arm and a few molding lines in my CGI mask, the only real issue is with a bit of sloppiness when it comes to paint apps. Other than that, he’s able to hold his weapons without issue. Speaking of weapons, the 2021 Black Major Crimson Guard Assortment includes a TON of goodies, namely an assortment of additional heads and a Viper assault rifle to hit the battlefield with. These weapons are, of course, alongside the classic Crimson Guard Rifle & Back Pack. The heads included are –

  • Crimson Guard Immortal
  • Frag Viper
  • Crimson Guard (2004 with Removal helmet)

The Verdict: The Python CG is a fun figure that compliments any Python Patrol collection. With how crazy the secondary market has gotten, these are a great alternative for your troop building needs.

Cheers once again go to Magnus Toys and of course, Black Major himself, on another fun release!

What are your thoughts on the 2021 Python Crimson Guardsman? Sound off in the comments and as always, thanks for checking it out!
