It’s #blackmajormonday, so why not kick off the month with a new review!
I’m wrapping up my looks at the 2021 W.O.R.M.S. and Aero-Viper sets with a look at what is my favorite of the 9 flavors released, Python Patrol!
Check it out –
In order to make an Aero-Viper, Hooded Python Cobra Commander and/or a W.O.R.M.S. to display alongside each other, you’ll need to snag three sets, as only one pair of legs two torsos are included.
Each pairing includes:
x1 Cobra W.O.R.M.S.
x1 Cobra Aero-Viper Torso (the build is made of a Wild Weasel Torso, Doc head, and Aero Viper helmet)
x1 Submachine gun
x2 Laser pistols
x1 Cobra Commander hooded head
Let’s check out the Python Patrol W.O.R.M.S. –
W.O.R.M.S. are noted to be self propelled artillery specialists that can man any battle station aboard their MAGGOT platforms. As Black Major’s focus has been on ground assault troop builders in the past and as noted in past reviews, it’s great to have a vehicle driver to add to our motor pool.
Fans of the Python Patrol faction will enjoy adding this figure to their collection, as he’d look pretty sharp alongside other Black Major Python Patrol offerings, especially those new Python Crimson Guardsman coming our way!
QC on my W.O.R.M.S. is pretty solid, with tight joints and clean paint apps (for the most part). It’s in this reporter’s humble opinion that the W.O.R.M.S. mold looks really good in this color scheme. I mean, c’mon, look at it! The Helmet sits a bit snug, but you’ll find no complaints here.
Each W.O.R.M.S. release comes with extras that allow you to make different characters. The next item we’ll take a look at is the WORMS’ “wave mate”, the Python Patrol Aero-Viper! –
The Python Patrol Aero-Viper was created using Doc’s head, Wild Weasel’s torso, WORMS’ arms, waist & legs and of course, that oh-so-awesome Aero-Viper helmet!
This build is a lot of fun and feels like a true pilot. (must be those sharp shades!)
The final build included in the set is a fun one – Check out Hooded Python Patrol Cobra Commander! –
*Chef Kiss* Cobra Commander looks outstanding in this colorway. I love how different greens stand out from the black and gray, causing the red highlights to just POP off of both.
To wrap things up and as always, here are a few fun shots of the set in action. As of right now, I’m torn as to whether this set, or the Red Shadows pairing are my favorites. If you haven’t, you should definitely treat yourself and pick these up before they’re gone for good!
