Shortly after Hasbro’s PulseCon 2021 event this past weekend, the toy maker shared word of an exclusive event being held for Pulse Premium Members only.
Dubbed the “1027 Hasbro Pulse Premium Event“, the promotional material shared for the event read as follows –
“Hasbro Pulse Premium Members, join us for an exclusive livestream event on October 27th, 2021 from 1027 Hasbro HQ and hosted by our very own @mrstevie18 with behind-the-scenes content, reveals, & select product drops! Head over to HasbroPulse.com for more information!”
Although the event covered Transformers, Star Wars, et al, my focus will of course be on my beloved modern army action figure, G.I.Joe…and BOY, did Hasbro come out swinging!
First off, Hasbro shared what we already knew to be the wave-mate of Spirit and Storm Shadow, the Cobra Officer. Check out official photography and details below –
- YO JOE! G.I. JOE EXPLODES INTO A LARGER-THAN-LIFE ERA WITH 6-INCH-SCALE FIGURES: The G.I. Joe Classified Series evolves the characters fans know and love into a highly articulated 6-inch scale with premium deco and detailing
- CLASSIC COBRA OFFICER-INSPIRED DESIGN: This figure features a classic design updated to bring the Cobra Infantry Operative into the modern era and accessories inspired by the character’s rich history
- COLLECTIBLE PACKAGING WITH CUSTOM ART: Joining some of the best artists in comics and graphic design in our artist partnership program, François Coutu adds a unique style to the Cobra Officer package
- HIGHLY POSEABLE WITH PREMIUM DETAILING: This G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra Officer figure features premium detailing and articulation for poseability (some poses may require additional support)
The Cobra Officer is available for pre-order at most etailers, with that killer artwork being available at Shop Trends.
Next up is a figure that we’ve all known has been coming for quite some time – From teaser artwork shared on the official G.I.Joe website, to unfinished parts and a detailed, spot-on “leak list” from WOJM, this character is one that will surely find its way to many a collection, the Cobra Alley Viper!
Ok, I’m in. This figure is gorgeous and is totally making me break my “no 1:12 scale” rule. From the killer detailing (mold, accessories), to the POP of the original color scheme, needless to say, I’m in love!
Now, as with the Cobra B.A.T., pre-order info for the Alley Viper wasn’t made available as of yet, but we can probably expect to see both sometime next summer. You can pick up the AVs artwork over at Shop Trends as well.
I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond excited for that Alley Viper. Let these reveals be a lesson, as well –
Many “Influencers” out there honestly have no idea what they’re talking about. They label speculation as fact, just to drive views to their pages.
Friends, always dig a little deeper. If you see multiple outlets reporting the same intel, then yeah, maybe it’s safe to take it with a grain of salt.
When some of these other outfits claim that their “secret sources” told them, or that the only way to be “in the know” is to subscribe to their Patreon, well then chances are strong that they’re full of crap and the info they’re feeding you is either wrong, or available for free elsewhere.
On that note, that’s a wrap, folks!
