G.I.Joe TV Series Based On LAdy Jaye Coming To Amazon

Woah now! Out of Hasbro’s Investor day event comes word of a G.I. Joe Live Action TV Series, based on Lady Jaye!

The show is currently in the works at Amazon From Erik Oleson, Paramount TV Studios, eOne & Skydance TV. Here’s the scoop from the folks over at Deadline

Deadline understands that a live-action TV series about the character, who was portrayed by Adrianne Palicki in the 2013 feature film G.I. Joe: Retaliation, is in the works at Amazon.

Erik Oleson, the showrunner and executive producer of the upcoming second season of Amazon’s Legendary-produced Carnival Row, will create and showrun the series and will exec produce alongside Lorenzo DiBonaventura.

It comes from Paramount Television Studios, eOne and Skydance Television.

The series will be a standalone story centered around Jaye, which will also connect to the larger G.I. Joe universe.

I wish all involved the best of luck, as a live action show is exactly what G.I.Joe needs! Are you excited about the news of a live action show?

I guess it will depend on who they pick for the role. The first movie sucked (sorry, but the only cool thing about it were the Vipers as far as I’m concerned), but Rachel Nichols as Scarlett was definitely *hot*. 😀 I was less excited about Lady Jaye in the second movie though (and yeah, that one sucked as well…). 😦

    • No apologies needed, I think both movies were rubbish.

I truly hope the series is good. Fans have been asking for a live action show for what feels like ages now.
