Over the course of the last few months, JOY TOY – 暗源 has been sharing teaser images of an upcoming 1:18 scale Mech. To give you a small taste, take a look at these –
Needless to say, 1:18 fans have been beyond excited for the release. There really haven’t been that many mecha offerings in this scale, especially ones that can hold a figure, while not holding a grip on your wallet.
Well my friends, I’m excited to share that the time is almost here. Today via social channels, JOY TOY – 暗源 shared new images of their upcoming 1:18 scaled Mecha! The new mecha will be released at the end of this month under their Battle For The stars series banner. Check it out –
As you can see from the pics, the pilot enters the mech through his back which is really cool. The articulation on this beast is impressive, but the true test will be holding it in hand. You know I’ll be adding this to my must have list, so I’ll be sure to share word once I’ve been able to fiddle with it a bit.

WOW. This looks pretty amazing! Any price setting yet? The previous mechs looked cool, but considering they were 1:25, they were of little interest to me.
And some good news, one of my local retailers is finally offering Joy Toy figures (there’s probably a link with EE, which is one of their suppliers and also seems to have started offering Joy Toy).

Sadly, no word on pricing as of yet, but if I had to wager a bet, I’m thinking closer to two hundred USD.
Awesome to hear that you have someone local! there’s always LockerToys too, which may be just a smidge closer to you than we are.
