Heads up! There’s a fantastic new book on Amazon that captures the experiences of Joe Fans across the years, as they reminisce on JoeCon!

The Joy of JoeCon, by Bill Nedrow, takes us back in time to recapture the excitement of JoeCon from 1997-2018. JoeCon was a phenomena that spanned three decades and gave attendees a chance to acquire exclusive figures, meet the people behind the iconic brand, and participate in contests and activities with likeminded fans.  However, those who traveled to JoeCon year after year know that it was so much more than that.  Join 28 essayists (see below) as the relive their favorite JoeCon experiences and try to put into words just what the annual meeting meant to them.  The spiritual successor to The Joy of Joe, The Joy of JoeCon features and introduction by Derryl DePriest and an afterward by Brian Savage, not to mention the Editor’s note by Bill. Here’s the scoop:

JoeCon ran from 1997-2018. According to the brochures, it was a chance for attendees to acquire toys, meet creators and designers, and participate in G.I. Joe related contests. In truth, it was so much more.Join 28 fans as they delve into just what made JoeCon a convention experience unlike any other.

I was absolutely honored to be asked to contribute to this offering, as it brought me down memory lane and took me back to my very first JoeCon aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid Air, Sea & Space Museum in NY, NY.

If you have the funds to spare, this is one title you won’t want to miss. Make sure to head on over to Amazon and add The Joy of JoeCon, by Bill Nedrow to your Library today!
