Well folks, in +/- 17 hours, The Unslain Kickstarter campaign from Mr. Arlen Pelletier will come to an end. At the time of this writing, the campaign is sitting at $44,063 USD of its $122,063 USD goal. Now, that’s not to say that a home run can’t be hit overnight, but that would take a very strong at bat and the support of all of us out there. Here’s the scoop right from the campaign page –

ArlenPelletierStudio Inc. is a Canadian, digital prototype sculpting studio, working with the industry’s leading companies to create your favourite action figures and collectibles.
For the first time ever, ArlenPelletierStudios Inc. has come out with their own line of action figures that are sure to bolster everyone’s existing collection!
Meet The Unslain
A fierce group of 1:18th scale, highly articulated, top quality factory produced and painted action figures.
(Excerpt written by Vito Delsante from pending comic: The Unslain )
Ikhor, the substance of life. It is more than the blood that flows within our veins, it is the secret of what separates the living and the dead. It is also a powerful magic that can control life and death. Whoever holds the Ikhor Crystal, must first contain and control its power. For centuries, this has fallen to the benevolent Ikhor Order, a generational honour not unlike the Knights Templar. In all of time, only two have turned away from the order; A dark sorcerer with ties to the Ikhor Order; and FERUS, son of the current head mage of the Ikhor Order. Ferus, who turned his back on the order, in search of his own path free of the war against the Agmen. However, Ferus will find out soon that all paths lead to War and he will have no choice but to take his place as the next headmage of the Ikhor Order.
Although these figures are considered 1:18th scale, they are brutes and will stand 4.125 inches tall, with enough articulation to hit all the action poses needed for those epic battle scenes.
All heads and accessories are easily swapped out to mix and match parts.

Trux the Savage
Known for his brute strength, Trux’s asset is his hand to hand combat.

Atrox the Fierce
Revered for his leadership and cunning battle strategy.

Ferox the Defiant
A skilled sell-sword who lives by the code of every man for himself.

Ferus the Brutal
Son of Efferus, destined to lead the Order of Ikhor, but determined to carve his own path.

Efferus the Ikhor Mage
The elder mage of ethereal magic, Efferus is the protector, peacekeeper, and guard of Ikhor.

Torvus the Grim
Once a mighty general of the Ikor Guard, swayed to the service of the Dark Sorcerer.

Magnus the Mighty
Leader of the Agrius people

The Agrius
A wild tribe of brutal warriors

The Agmen
known as the Unslain army commanded by the dark sorcerer

This is a digital mock up of what the articulation will look like, although these are subject to change as we work with the factory to get these finished.

This is a quick digital mock up of the packaging, these are not the final graphics and may change once we get into production.

Since this Kickstarter is based in Canada, all funds are in Canadian dollars. Below are some estimated USD equivalents, but as the currency changes daily these are approximate.

What are Add-ons? Add-ons are not part of the core Kickstarter functionality, however you do have the ability to increase ANY amount to your Kickstarter pledge at anytime throughout the campaign. Offering Add-ons allows backers a way to add additional Kickstarter rewards to their already existing pledge. There is no “Add-On” button on Kickstarter so you will simply add the amount needed for all your desired items and then select them in the Backerkit survey after the campaign in over.
Add-ons can ONLY be purchased along with a pre-existing pledge level of $30 CAN and higher. Please pledge to that Reward 1st before you Add-on any additional Add-on rewards. Add-ons are not available for purchase separately as the prices include shipping discounts for International orders.
Below is a list of items available as Add-ons, along with costs (including shipping).
ADD ON (1) ADDITIONAL FIGURE OF YOUR CHOICE: US add $33 Canadian / Canada add $32 Canadian / All other countries add $38 Canadian
ADD ON (1) Blank figure: US add $16 Canadian / Canada add $15 Canadian / All other countries add $18 Canadian
ADD ON (1) Fur Accessory Pack: US add $12 Canadian / Canada add $11 Canadian / All other countries add $14 Canadian
ADD ON (1) Head pack of 5: US add $14 Canadian / Canada add $13 Canadian / All other countries add $16 Canadian
ADD ON (1) Weapons pack: US add $14 Canadian/ Canada add $13 Canadian / All other countries add $16 Canadian
In order to add Add-ons to your order, just calculate the amount you’ll need to pay based on the combination of the cost of the Add-on (see costs above) and the cost of your current pledge. You will then need to increase your existing pledge to that amount. See article on Kickstarter “How do I change my pledge amount?”
For example… You’ve pledged $42 CA (including shipping) for a “Choose one figure of your choice” reward, and you want to Add-on an additional figure for $32 CA (including shipping). Your adjusted pledge total would then be $76 CA. Just increase your pledge to that adjusted amount. See article on Kickstarter “How do I change my pledge amount?”
Once the campaign is over you’ll be able to select your specific Add-on figure via the BackerKit survey up to the amount of funds you pledged. You’ll also be able to make additional “Add-On’s” at this time as well using your credit card.

These are a rough mock up with fused joints. (note tattoos have not been added)

All images are either digital or physical prototype mock-up’s and not final products. Although we will work closely with the factory to get these as close as possible there may be some slight changes do to factory requirements.
Note: After the Kickstarter is over we will be using Backerkit to survey all pledges.
So, what say you, Port faithful? Will you be supporting the campaign or skipping it all together?
