There’s some unfortunately news to share from my friends at Fresh Monkey Fiction regarding their Larry Hama Action Figure Kickstarter Campaign. For those of you unfamiliar with the project, let’s have a quick re-cap:
The project initially launched on March 5 of 2017 and was successfully funded on March 27th. Although we’ve been receiving updates on progress, the aforementioned updates slowed down a bit. Bill noted the same in his latest update shared over this past weekend. Here’s the scoop –
Sorry for the lack of updates, but sadly I don’t have anything new to report. The factory has had the paint masters for months, but has yet to get me paint samples. They tell me they’ll have something to me by early November to review so we can go into production.
At this rate I I would expect fulfillment until early Q2 2019. I know this it not the news anyone wants to hear, including myself, but this is where we are at. This factory has delivered on 2 other projects for independent toy creators, but I can’t seem to get them to move faster on this one.
As soon as I know more I’ll of course let everyone know.
There you have it, folks. We shouldn’t expect to see Mr. Hama leading the charge on our shelves any time before April 2019. Fingers crossed that the factory comes through and we get them sooner, but, as they say, better to plan for the worst and hope for the best.
I’ll keep you posted on any new developments.
