Action Figure of the Month Club Kickstarter Campaign Now Live

 

First and foremost, I have to give credit where it’s due and give thanks to Mr. Christopher McLeod of The Full Force for a fantastic News Burst from October 16th, where Chris sat down with Mr. Jessie DeStasio of Toy Pizza to discuss their new Kickstarter Project, Action Figure of the Month Club. Action Figure of the Month Club

Do you remember the thrill of clipping proof-of-purchases from the back of a cereal box and mailing it in to await a very special action figure that would arrive in the mail? Maybe you got Han Solo in Stormtrooper Outfit or Kenner’s clear Ambush Predator? Or even Sgt. Slaughter from Gi Joe?

Toy Pizza wants to recreate this joy for you twelve times a year!

Action Figure collecting has become so dull & boring! Retailers are shuttering and all the surprises in the industry are broadcasted months ahead of time at trade shows or on social media. There is no sense of surprise in figure-buying anymore. This club changes all of that.

The campaign will give us (12) 4″ Poly-bagged limited edition action figures sent once a month directly to our mail boxes. There’s 5 styles of figures currently available, with more set to unlock, including the absolutely awesome Desert Rat that The Full Force revealed earlier today.

What’s really neat about the figures is that they all feature the Glyos joint system, so we’ll be able to pop’em apart and mix’n’match parts to our heart’s content! Each figure will have about 10 points of articulation. If you’re curious as to whether or not they’re worth it…do yourself a favor, look up “Knights of the Slice” on eBay. 😉 You’re welcome.
