IDW’s G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero #255 – Special Missions 5 is now on news stands and in comic book shops everywhere. Not only does this issue, with a focus on Scarlett, wrap up the Special Missions story arc, but it’s also the 100th consecutive issue by Larry Hama!

I remember when G.I.Joe 155 1/2 dropped back in 2010 for Free Comic Book day. Now here we are, 8 years later and our beloved Modern Army Action figure is still going strong, thanks to Mr. Hama (and a metric ton of other folks, of course!).

Cheers to Larry and IDW Publishing for recapturing the magic of G.I.Joe comics for a new generation to enjoy! Onward to the next 100! If you haven’t picked up Issue #255 yet, check out this special preview below –

“Special Missions,” Part 5 (of 5)! G.I. Joe. Cobra. Two opposing forces. Two powerful war machines, each made more lethal by the undeniable strength of their individual parts. But who and what are those parts? Living legend Larry Hama shares some of their amazing stories in “Special Missions”—one-shot stories featuring a variety of characters and different artists to draw them! This issue, Harvey Tolibao (Dungeons and Dragons) joins forces with Larry to present G.I. Joe’s fiery field commander without equal: SCARLETT!
