Lady Jaye and Storm Shadow to appear at Garden State Comic Fest

Mrs. Mary Mcdonald-Lewis, the voice of G.I.Joe’s Lady Jaye and Mr. Keone Young, the voice of Cobra’s Storm Shadow, will be in attendance at Garden State Comic Fest July 7th & 8th!

When Mary McDonald-Lewis auditioned for the GI Joe series, she was originally auditioning for a smaller role, but voice director Wally Burr liked her ‘grit’, so he asked her to read for Lady Jaye instead. She said a big part of reading for Lady Jaye was shouting “Yo Joe!” into the microphone as loud as she could, and believes that she got the part because she wasn’t afraid to give her all in her readings. In the GI Joe series Mary also voiced Madame Vail and the Cobra Troopers.

Keone is a man of many voices and has many voice-over credits to his name including: Grandpa in American Dragon: Jake Long, Kaz in Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Mr. Sanban in Codename: Kids Next Door, the Firebending master Jeong Jeong in the Asian-influenced Avatar: The Last Airbender, Storm Shadow in the Sunbow G.I. Joe animated series, the Hard Master in G.I. Joe: Renegades, Mr. Wu on Nickelodeon’s show The Mighty B!, Babaram on Surf Ninjas Marshall Kai Ti Chang in Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb, Silver Samurai in X-Men: The Official Game and Wolverine and the X-Men, Sensei in Young Justice, Chen Stormstout in the World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria and Commander Sato in Star Wars Rebels.
